1. Does the hole shown in the photo have any operational purpose or is it just a likely location point for manufacturing?

2. Where can I purchase the outer (spindle pin) bushes? Someone on eBay wants $60... is that the going rate?

Is the function of the hole for draining purposes? Price seems ok for the ebay bushes, i have a brand new set here but one is missing a metal sleeve.

Is it for the 'other' sway bar that mounts from behind the diff? Popular in the USA, but not sure if it was a factory option.

 

$60 sounds ok to me if they are OEM rubber, I used urethane, but I would use OEM rubber if I did it again. You wouldn't have to change them for another 30yrs!

Nah, for sway bar that mounts in front of and below diff pinion flange, they bend bend back to then connect via drop links into the holes.

Lower arms are reversible/flippable.

Running a rear bar, about 14 mm diam gives me a bit of oversteer, which i prefer for race/rally use, can be easily reduced by milling some flats, if too taily.
