luvemfast Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 Didn't know really where to put this..... but I've always been a bit annoyed when I think one way in Engineering measurements. then others speak in other units, may as well be speaking another language! So, I've compiled a few conversions that I think are important and may help others. I hope I've got my figures correct, if not. let me know and I'll edit them. Length 1 inch = 25.4mm Weight 1kg = x 0.45359237lbs Power 1kW = x 0.735499hp Torque 1Nm = x 1.355818ft/lbs Pressure 1kg/cm² = x 14.223343334 psi Speed 1kph = 0.6214mph 1mph = 1.609kph Quote

dat240z Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 are you sure about that kg to pound conversion? that would mean a 240z would be 4500lbs plus!!! Quote
Six_Shooter Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 When I read the title, I expected to see: k = x10^3 m = x10^-3 u = x10^-6 n = x10^-9 Quote

BobsYourUncle Posted February 15, 2013 Posted February 15, 2013 are you sure about that kg to pound conversion? that would mean a 240z would be 4500lbs plus!!! Yeah, the kg to lbs conversion is incorrect, it should be 2.2 (1 lbs = 16oz = 0.454kg) https://www.google.com.au/search?q=1+kg+in+lbs Quote
