Hey fellas,

So yesterday I bought myself a very cheap project car, a 1976 260z 2+2. After fiddling with the motor, I got it to start and drive around the block, which took one worry off my chest. The car seems to be painted multiple times....without having the old paint sanded off..... :-\ and there seems to be many rust spots all over the car and a broken windscreen. The interior needs a new floor plan, two front seats need replacing (or upholstery), back seats are fine (just cleaning), new door trims + roof trim and the dash has a few cracks. I have not yet "completely inspected" the car, so there may be more issues, however my main concern at this time is the interior and the rust spots.

so what I really need help with is:

-for someone to suggest a cheap place I can go to get the rust removed or patched up

-interior for sale or what I can do to restore it (if that's even possible)

-windscreen

Really willing to put in the time and effort into this Zed

Cheers guys

Nas

One thing I do know is never to use the words "cheap" and "rust repairs" in the same sentence... unless you like repairs done with chicken wire, kilos of bog and cut up bits of stop signs.

In Melbourne, Rob at Z Factory can do some good repairs..I'm sure others will have some other good recommendations..

I picked up the car for $600 and got it delivered home from Canberra for $300.

I honestly don't know how much I want to spend on doing the rust, but ive got the money.
