Auto 240 on Carsales - Cheap?

For the price, it could be a pretty good buy, if its not lacework.  Kind of very tempted myself, but if its as clean as it appears, better someone buys it to keep it mostly original, as I'd be ripping a lot of it out.  Which makes it uneconomical to spend even that much.

Hmmm, I'm liking this car but I would prefer a manual transmission. Would it be worth it to convert it to manual and would a 240Z transmission be easy and cheap to fit?

Manual conversion is very simple for DIY with a little mechanical ability.... doesn't even have to be a 240z box, can be 260z or 280zx, and possibly even some other similar age datsun boxes fit.

Interesting. The tacho is registering 1000rpm, the temp is normal. All other guages not working in the photo.

Excellent, I barely have the money for this car but rather have a look if anything than take a pass, especially after I saw this AE86 that was decent yet I couldn't take it for a test drive since the battery was flat. He left the light on needless to say. The only problem is sourcing a gear box. I'll take a look since Rowville I think isn't too far from me
