Waz 240 continues

Hi

Thought Id like to give you all an update on Warrens, now Craigs 240Z

It has been in Adelaide for over 12mths now

In May this year Kay drove it to the Cornish Festival on York Peninsula for the Cavalcade of Cars run in association with the Kernewek Lowender (Cornish Festival) The cars do a street run through Kadina, Moonta and Wallaroo ending up on display @ the oval. Its a long day, early start, late home, scored a speeding fine and with all the stop , start run of the cavalcade did the clutch, sorry Craig, but needed doing anyway 

Departs Viterra Marshalling Yards - Wallaroo.

Route through towns of Wallaroo, Moonta and Kadina.

Description: A well known Kernewek Lowender event which attracts more than 700 entries from around Australia.

The Classic Cavalcade comprises veteran, vintage and classic vehicles and motorcycles, all more than the mandatory 30

years old. Travelling from Wallaroo to Moonta and on to Kadina,

thousands of people line the route to wave participants on. This event

is proudly coordinated by the Kernewek Lowender Committee.

The vehicles from the RAA/Rosewarnes Classic Cavalcade of Cars and Motor Cycles gather at this

fun fair event from 11.30am, at the Kadina oval. It allows the public, and vehicle buffs, the opportunity for a close-up

view of the magnificent machines, and a chance to chat with the vehicle owners. In a fun fair-style atmosphere, there is

entertainment for the whole family, including lunch and refreshment stalls, a licensed bar, merchandise stalls, funfair

rides, trophy presentations, and the 'Legends of Rock n Roll' band and dancers. This event is proudly coordinated by the

Kernewek Lowender Committee

Craig & Mon were the drivers. (I scored a ride in a Volvo)

On the last day of Sept each year some 1500 classics line up at Glenelg for the run to the Birdwood Museum in the Adelaide Hills.

When the Datsun registration was changed to SA it got the proud number plate RZD240 (The Nissan is running on SA plate RZD350)

Last week Craig & I fronted the Alfa Romeo Car Club and transferred the Datsun to Historic Motor Vehicle Registration for 3 years for $421.00, sweet 

Good to see the car is getting some good use and that it has stayed in the family too! I didn't know Warren but I'm sure he would be proud.

Thanks for the update
