Huw Posted March 3, 2016 Posted March 3, 2016 Well. Restored my zed while in Uni with all of the consgraints that brings. Body has been bare metalled and resprayed and basic mechanicals fully restored (ie full engine rebuild, skyline calipers etc )but interior and ancillaries need work. Resto semi finished in 08, so almost due for another quick go over. I am currently based in Japan so unable to work on the car more than a couple of weeks a year. However, I can gather parts and plot my next moves. It is a 71,stock L24 with mild cam and headers, round top SUs. Want to keep the numbers but would like some more oomph. Opening the floor to ideas. Administrators gav240z Posted March 3, 2016 Administrators Posted March 3, 2016 Hey Elvis is HS30 00643 Another accounted for. I know the frustration mind you, I only get to work on my 72 240z a couple of weeks a year also. My take on it, is that I've decided to outsource more work so that when I am home and get to drive it I enjoy it more, rather than focusing on all the things that need to be done to it. Small projects are good to work on all, like rebuilding indicator stalks, or fixing broken clocks etc.. You can do those in Japan . Quote
Huw Posted March 3, 2016 Author Posted March 3, 2016 Yah. Have been meaning to gather new interior trim pieces for windows and rear as mine terrible and shipping from US is murder. Other one to hunt for is the elusive swithch buttons/blanking plate on the 71 choke mechanism. But no luck yet. Quote

I have bought from the seller Steve before. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/topic/11583-240z-rubber-parts/ Highly recommended, he makes stuff in batches, so get in contact with him and let him know you're after a set.
