Hey I have a project car and it was stored 13 years. When key was turned I got nothing initially, then I just wiggled wires around near ignition looking for a possible kill switch etc, and then she would start (many times even after removing/hooking up battery a few times etc). BUT I went away 2 weeks and came back to try a new fuel pump and ignition wont work. The lights work, electric sunroof works etc, volt gauge works, But nil dash lights/starting etc when ignition on. I also degreased engine bay 2 weeks ago. Not sure if water got in somewhere. I looked at fuses in the driver's footwell and all good....where are the other fuses? ideas? thanks

is that your Dino kit car? always wanted one of the zeds like that......just now the zeds are worth too much

Ah yeah good point on carbs.....was there flat top and round top options? or do you think they are aftermarket? I have to get under her in next few weeks to change the clutch cylinder so will take pics and post them up.

Hi, not sure which forum for this so went in general, as not sure if I'll 'resto' it or just drive it LOL I'm new here but I have a 77 260Z stored for 13 years. The paint is stuffed but original. It was Metalic green. It was owned by a guy who only lived a few klms from his work and it is supposed to be a genuine 56k klms but can't prove it. (he had no reason to lie really so I'm hoping it's true) Stuff all rust, but a little in lower 1/4's etc but floors are great. It has factory Air con and electric sunroof that works and doesn't leak. I am in process of cleaning it up, and the clutch slave/rear brakes cyl are stuffed (parts supplied so I am working on that) but I am also waiting on a new electric fuel pump as mine is kaput. (I cleaned out tank and very clean. ) Had it running with floats full but pump stuffed. I have a mate already nagging me to sell it to him, but survivor style cars (or any good zeds) are getting expensive. Also scored some cool PPQ plates with car........260ZD Now to get cleaning....oh and I need a few parts.......air filter, gear know, stock steering wheel, door mirrors......ratty ones OK. L

It does but ot only has engine type 'l26' on it...not engine number.

Hi, new here but my 'barn find' 260z 2+2 is supposed to be fairly original and low klms from original owner, how can you tell if it is matching numbers? its a 77 GRS30 015749 (PLATES MATCH) L26 ENGINE IS L26 164962 ..... I think thats all the numbers I can see. thanks L
