Good question. The '73 was not driven at all in 98 because of business commitments. Contemplating what to do with it mechanically when wife came in to say that we were expecting triplets (no joke) Quickly realised 2 seat sports car was not going to be of much use so left parked. Those boys are now nearly 19 so now i have some time. Chassis 100, I really dont know what I'm doing as it will require a lot more time. Hopefully get the "73 one looked at soon by me and one keen son

Yes. SST Automotive was his business in East Vic Park Perth. No idea if he is still around or who took over from him. At the time he was fitting anything Nissan to a Z. I do remember an Infiniti V8 powered Z in his workshop. At the time I think his car had a Rb26DETT in it and held some record at the Wanneroo Track

Lurch, I wont take offence as I'm very thick skinned, but it was a very serious motor that was way beyond my driving abilities then and prob now, and at the time cost me big dollars. I will attempt to find the build sheet at some point if you like. As for engine number sequence, I have 1985 Skyline hatch that has the injected L24, No L24662496. at what point did they stop making L24's. Sorry if I have overstepped the mark as a newbie.

Gav, as a matter of interest to you and the rest, I'll post some info/pics of my 1973 Z. Was purchased in 1991 from Redfern?? Sydney by myself (long time ago) unlicensed. Did some work in a mates back yard, pink slip it or whatever it was, reg and drove it home to WA via a couple of laps at Bathurst. Got many strange looks on the Nullarbor I remember. Engine was rebuilt with lots of go fast bits in 97, with Wolf Digital EFI injection by a Z car nut mechenic I had come across. (350hp @7500rpm). This has been parked since Dec 98

Unfortunately, when i purchased this in 1992, it was minus engine and gearbox. He had already sold that to pay the body bill i think from memory. As per the dash, i will have to troll thru the boxes. The written list of parts that came with it says it has a spare dash frame and all fittings. Maybe the spare is the one fitted and not original which would explain the Fairlady Z as per photo attached

Hello all from a new member. To add to early car bingo, I have had HS30 00100 sitting in my shed in country WA since 1992. I purchased this as a fully restored rolling shell less engine and trans, as a young 25 year old with big ideas to go veteran racing. I owned, and still do, a 1973 240Z which was my then daily driver. When purchased, the bloke had spent big $$ to have it restored, no body fillers allowed. He imported a brand new bonnet and both front guards as well. It was/is primed in a parraffinc based rust underbody sealer with all other bits plus many extras in boxes. Has been dry stored in my shed since.
