  1. Sorry no pics, the work was completed by the previous owner about 7 years ago.
  2. You mustn't have prepped it correctly, plenty people have used this stuff for years with no issue.
  3. Why would you rub it back, that defeats the purpose of it as it's a sealant. You are meant to rough it up then coat it with POR tie coat (high build) primer, then you can top coat it with any type of paint.
  4. Sorry for the poor pics, bad lighting, it's a little hard to see but it is straight, no accident damage, has a few small hail dints and a couple of the vent slots broke and were repaired (marked with a white cross), but apart from that great condition. No rust holes or bog, previous owner was quite meticulous and rubbed it back to get rid of any surface rust, it was then prepped and totally coated in POR15 rust protector paint which is the best you can do for rust prevention. This was all completed about 7 years ago, not a sign of rust. Only selling as my car came with the original non vented bonnet as well as this one and I'm going for the OEM look. $1000 located in Canberra.
  5. Hi all, My '71 240z came with the original metal bonnet badge but it needs refinishing and has some pit marks so I'll just buy a new plastic OEM one. Does anyone know what these are worth as I'm selling this and other parts which I won't be using so that I can add to the paint job kitty.
  6. Ah ok, thanks for that. Here are the pics
  7. So it looks like I only have a bunch of vinyl, not carpet. I can't seem to find how to attach a picture, anyone care to give me some pointers?
  8. I'm pretty sure some came with the car I just bought, although I'm unsure of the condition, I'll have a look tomorrow and will get back to you.
  9. Thanks for the info, that'll help, my 240 is a '71. I'll put her up on stands once I get some room in the garage and compare them. Cheers
  10. Heheheh, yes I thought someone might pick up which car it was from it's recent ad. No idea why they wen't with an SR, I would have kept it factory myself as I don't want to go through engineering etc but since it has already been done I'll keep it like it is. I wouldn't want all that hard work going to waste. Although I've had a fair bit of experience with SRs so am glad it has one instead of something more obscure like a V8. It's also great to have a small engine in that engine bay, gives me more room to work on without scratching up my arms every time I tinker.
  11. Hi all, I'm new to S30s so have a question for you experts out there. I've just picked up a 240z and it came with a bunch of spares, just seeing what is usable and what isn't. The car came with a complete set of struts/hubs/springs/brakes from a 260z, the previous owner was unsure if it was from a 2+2 or 2+0. Is 260z 2+2 and 2+0 suspension the same? If so, would any of this be a direct fit onto a 240z? Cheers
  12. Hey all, I finally picked myself up a 240z after wanting one for years. All the rust was cut out and an SR20DET put in it by the previous owner plus some other upgrades, I've owned a fair few S13/S14s in the past so know the engine well. It just needs some tidying up and a lick of paint + engineering to get it on the road, can't wait
