  1. Updated post to reflect current sale price $1600 for the lot OR $1000 for shell, incl engine and gearbox minus interior $800 for interior parts <-- not willing to seperate this out
  2. Hey guys, need to move this.. want my shed for a man cave! $1,700 bottom price
  3. Ill also add that the car comes with A/C, and the engine apparently has some british round top carbs Comes with some flares, clear headlight cover (no mounts)
  4. I would prefer to sell the interior as whole. Because this is a pretty neat interior, would suit someone who is building a car /bought one with terrible interior Prices adjusted for quick sale
  5. **Just to be clear guys, I am NOT parting out the car. Its sold as a whole. The only thing I will seperate is the inteior from the shell**
  6. Ok guys, decided to part it out. Front GTR brakes sold Webers and manifold sold Wilwood pv and master sold L28 sold Will contact those who have msged me. Unfortunately for the rest.. I only have one of each!
  7. **Just to be clear guys, I am NOT parting out the car. Its sold as a whole. The only thing I will seperate is the inteior from the shell** Hi all, Its gutting me to do this, but in reality this project won't be going ahead for a while due to renovations on our house, and I have to focus my time and energy on other pursuits This was planned to be one of my ultimate builds! JDM vintage influence (flared guards etc), L28 triple Weber carbs, manual! Black, on black, on black. Something neat and tough, built to own the street! I will try to be specific as possible, so excuse me if this post is lengthy! But best if you come around and see the car yourself The car is a 1976 Datsun 260z 2+2, champagne in colour. 99.9% complete <-- I say this because the car is fully stripped inside, with windows, doors and trims removed. Engine bay is stripped, but all steering, drive train, brakes etc. are still on the car so it can be rolled around Currently the car has had about ~10 hours worth of orbital sanding and hand sanding, and IMO will require another 15-20 hours more, then will be ready for rust repairs. I will give the buyer the orbital sander along with a heap of sanding pads (80 grit from memory) There are about 6-8 areas of rust which would need repairing, I will upload pictures later. Other than these areas, it is a straight and clean car, looks like it was pretty well looked after from previous owner/s Comes complete with all panels, glass, bumpers, badges, a heap of bolts (probably every single one) The previous owner has done some small mods, ie. headlight mod and wiper mod to work better than the 76' tech $1000 for the shell as it is, will also come with original L26 which was running before removal. I understand this is without the interior, but majority of 260z's you buy these days, the interiors are all junk! Car will come with enough rust convertor/protector for the whole car. Some sound deadener will be included, along with a bunch of spare parts Great condition dash with all gauges, black door trims in good condition, black roof lining in good condition, mixture of interior trims in different colours, but can be sprayed black with vinyl spray (very easy to do), missing carpet and centre console, otherwise complete $800, considering the items are in good condition and are getting very rare to find! I would prefer to sell the two above together, rolling shell + interior $1600 WILL NOT SEPERATE INTERIOR ITEMS, will only seperate from shell.. but prefer to sell together! BARGAIN OF THE CENTURY!! Most other restoration projects would be more expensive than this, with a junked interior! Believe me, ive checked! Contact me 0424 193 992
  8. What does the "coilover kit" include? - Tokico struts - King springs - After market hubs? Front and rear? - Camber plates? - Are they assembled? If so, on what struts - 240z or late 260z? Can you please post/send me pictures, I need to fit a R32 GTR brake kit (I have dog bones), and also a SMM rear brake kit (both ~320mm discs)
  9. If this was running, I would snap this up in a heartbeat! Transport is just too expensive for a non running car
  10. Hey guys Sorry finding it super hard to track PMs, but the front spoiler and L26 head have gone
  11. Yes I have the head with rocker cover, I think its a N42 head The front spoiler lip thing I have Looks like this bad bay http://www.whiteheadperformance.com/products/bre-type-spook-front-air-dam-fiberglass-datsun-240z-260z/
  12. Interested.. Has it ever been rebuilt? Any idea roughly the kms?
  13. Thanks a heaps guys! I am currently doing the DOT forms The engineer I spoke to seemed to know his L series engines, and said to me i was silly for going for a L28 in place for the L26, said it was more sluggish. Is this true? A bit off topic now, but would prefer to decide on engine before I hand DOT forms in Its a rebuilt L28, F54 block and N42 head. As far as I know, all the internals are stock and head is stock, might possibly have mild cam but thats it I think im going to try and get the car registered with L28 (if better than L26), triple carbs (apparently this is important to state), coilovers with weld in camber plates, cut fenders and flared guards with sensible wheel size Hopefully if they do require the car to have all pollution gear, I can debate it that it came out as carby? In principle, the mods I want to do have been approved by engineer, but DOT have the final say!
  14. Hi guys, So the time is coming for when I will get stuck into my project car: 77 260z 2+2 I have already planned a few mods for the car, and now im going through the process of getting pre-approvals I spoke to an engineer about the following mods: - Cutting fenders and running flared guards, no issues - Coilovers with weld in camber plates, no isses - L28, he reckons DOT will require all emissions gears I have to check everything with DOT before I do any of the mods though Has anyone had experience with the above mods not being approved? And has anyone got comments about the mods below - Triple weber carbs, going from a "EFI" engine to a carby setup > will require emissions? I feel like I wana pass the motor off as a 2.8L haha - I have a BBK for front and rear, fronts are R32 GTR on custom brackets, and rears are from another car with bracket but also has e-brake The engineer said that DOT are less likely to approve if it seems like im building a "race" car, but to be honest, I just want to build a clean, vintage, jap style influenced car. Im not chasing power at all! Should I "omit" some mods before pits, and do them after rego and risk the chance of a yellow?
  15. Thanks I am more concerned about cutting fenders The car will be registered without flares, and stock wheels Then I will do the flares (and if legal, cut fenders) If I get yellowed for wheels, I can simply take them off and re-register.. but with cut fenders, I may not be able to register it again
  16. Hey guys, I am planning to start working on my car within the next few months (have to finish house renovations first!) Before I go ahead and purchase fender flares, I wanted to know if anyone has got their cars registered with cut fenders and flares I was tossing up whether to run flares, or just run wider wheels with stretched tyres on stock rolled guards Thanks
