Thanks Mate. I had a look on ebay and your right, i can get a second hand one for around 40us or a newy for about 130ish from us. Any idea on the time it takes to get parts from the US to here? I'm assuming 2wks?

Ok, so we checked it out and it seems to be the top strut hat has failed. Does anyone have a couple of front top strut tops?

The car is at a friends but ill try and get him to take a pic for me. But from your photo the big bolt through the tower is in & the 3 bolts surrounding it are still in the hat but when we jack the car up the tower drops down.

Thanks for the reply. Well I wish it was that but I'm pretty certain it's not. The strut tower has a rubber gasket that sits at the top of the strut, then the hat is on top of that with the bolts on the other side holding it together. So when i jack the car up, the bolts are still tight from the hat but the strut tower has come away from the top hat - If that makes sense.

Hey guys, My car is 95% complete and when fitting the wheels I've realized the "Front LHS shock tower" has come away from the bolts that screw it from the top. First time I've seen this. I am assuming its just from wear and tear. I'm after a replacement. Looking to do it on the cheap if possible. I'm located around Dandenong (south east) if that makes life easier. Thanks in advance for your help. ALSO, if someone lives in the area, I'm trying to get the car started and tuned with some new carbies. If someone lives around the area and is happy & would like to have a look that would be great A slab for there help wouldn't be out of the question for helping

Hi peeps, My name is Chee-ky(everyone calls me Cheeky) Dunlop. If you've heard my name, it's probably me. I've yet to meet another cheeky yet, so if you know of one let me know! Just turned 29 lived in the south east region most my life. After seeing my 2 good mates working on there Z's, 1 of them for 8 years! I finally bought my own - wahooo!!! The car was owned for 18 years which moved from Western Australia to Queensland. Site unseen, bought it off ebay and it arrived about 2wks ago. Haven't been able to start it yet. It arrived with a missing carbie!!! grrrr.... anyways, after posting on this site and getting involved I've met a super awesome dude (Al) in NSW who is sent me a couple of carbies today. So hopefully ill be able to start it before the end of the week. Watch this space hehehe The car has a bit of rust in the passenger floor (will need to replace) & in one of the chassi rails LHS. Other then little bits in the bottom of the exterior panels the body is pretty good. If anyone can point me in the right directions of some panel beaters/restorers, to get the body back in shape. That would be awesome. The goal for the car firstly is to get it running & road worthy. After this, let the mods begin Ultimately the theme will be drift/street legal. That's about it. hahaha Im in vic, the car was in queensland. The pic she sent me had the carb in the pic. The car i got had a missing carb... Well when i say missing the case of the carb was in the car rear compartment (which i found out after calling her). The piston, spring and bolts were missing :-\ :-\ :-\

Yea, your right. For the last 10 years i've only owned EFI cars. First carbie car i've had. Trying to get my head around it at the moment as you can tell. Your a champ man, thanks. Will take on your suggestions and go from there.

Hey, Thanks for the reply. The first 2 photos are from my car. The 3rd photo is from the Zshop showing me what carb i need, so no i didn't take the carb that is missing off. The car came like that. Going off the first two photos, the list you provided, is that still an accurate list of what is missing? Im not looking to re-build them. Just want to get the car to start so i can start driving it from A to B to get the project started/restored. A single carb, that is second hand would be fine. If that would work

Hey Guys, I recently bought my first Zed (wahooo!!!) but when it arrived it was missing a carby & the special bolts that attach the filter to the carbies... (oh nooo!!!) :-\ I've been to the Zshop in Glen Iris but he pointed me in the direction of America. Before i do that i was hoping to see if someone had a pair i could grab?/Pay for? locally? (in VIC) Really would love to see this thing started sooner rather than later i.e waiting for parts in America PS. I've attached some pics as i know there are a few different variations Appreciate you help. Cheeks
