I am getting a considerable amount of interior equipment for a 280zx sent to me in Alice springs, but apparently the freight company I am working through doesn't hire or give away pallets, and we have a pallet load worth of stuff including seats so boxes aren't really an option, does anyone in sydney know where you can find a decent pallet that he could use for the stuff? Any help much apreciated Cheers

If this is in the wrong section mod please fix, I am buying some parts of Cozza, mostly interior stuff for a 280zx inc seats and dash, but Cozza has no space to store them for much longer, I have no real contacts in Sydney, because I live in Alice Springs in the Northern Territory. I need more time to chase up freight quotes but don't have anywhere in Sydney to store the gear. So I'm looking for someone near Cozza (Greater Sydney Area) willing to store the stuff till I can arrange transport, OR Someone who has a contact in or is in the freight business and can help me get the stuff to Alice springs reasonably cheaply asap I know its alot to ask but I would be much appreciated if someone could help Cheers Jason

Hi Guys n Gals This may be the wrong area to post this but I figure it will get more noticed here in the general section, I want to hear from people who have installed Megasquirt in their Z i would like to know where did you get it from. I have used the search function with the words megasquirt and couldnt find anything specific to australia, Im not particularly confident with soldering so i would like to get hold of a Megasquirt I v2.2 ECU and loom already assembled So my questions are as follows 1. Is there someone willing to order the kit from DIY Autotune and put it together for me then send it to me 2. Or is there somewhere i can purchase the assembled units in australia 3. Or is there someone who has a MS1 V2.2 they are not using and would be willing to sell Cheers in advance for any help guys

BTW I spoke to my local nissan dealer Parts dept and they said they cant get them, so even if there is some way to get a nissan one it would be good

Hi guys n gals, What's out there in the way of timing kits for l28e + l28et, need to know where to get one from and how much is usual to spend I prolly dont want to reuse the set up thats on the engine now, and have been told at this stage its best to get all new bits anyway Cheers

Hi Guys if I was to get a 240mm Flywheel and an RB Clutch, do I have to change my starter motor or any associated parts, or is the standard designed to to go with the 240mm Flywheel, Also is the Nissan 240mm Flywheel Standard across the board or do I have to get a 240mm Flywheel suited specifically to the 280zx, I apologise for all the Noob sounding questions but when it comes to anything to do with the gearbox or clutch im still learning, Cheers in advance to any help given

Wasn't sure where to put this post so someone let me know if its wrong. I have a 1980 280zx that i am putting an l28E+T setup in and i would like to know what is a cost effective HD clutch to use or will the standard item be able to handle a fair whack, car will be used for street and weekend drag racing fun (not serious competition) and running 10 to 12 psi maximum once its upgraded, Any advice much apreciated Cheers

1 x DR30 Taillight (Hotplate Grey Background) 1 x HR30 Taillight (Hotplate Black background) would like to get at least $200 for the DR Taillight and $150 for the HR 1 x L series inlet Manifold bare $30, will degease before sale eg no fuel rail or injectors can put all this back on for extra 1 x L series N/A Exhaust manifold $50 1 x N42 Cylinder head, currently on my 280zx as i was trying to fix the car turns out my block is stuffed so i am selling all these to fund a whole new engine, cylinder head was bought from Grand Auto in SA about two weeks ago still have reciept i had it completly cleaned and refaced on the mating surface its back on the car now but car has not bee started so should not be any residue on it when i take it off all in all it should be in better nick than when i bought it. Paid $450 but price neg A few weeks after i get my new engine i will have an L series turbo manifold up for sale as the new engine will allready have one Im negotiable on all these items just call,text or pm for details 0437741133

Hi guys looking to buy as title says an l28e would prefer if it was a long motor ie (sump, block, head n rocker cover only... No manifolds but if you have one that just came out of a car perhaps you could strip these bits off, I would prefer that you have some idea of it being running sometime recently the aim is to put this motor in my car and fully rebuild the one I have now over time. I would prefer to keep the cost under $500 as freight to Alice springs is going to kill my wallet enough (someone please inform me if this is reasonable price), and it would make it easier if you were in south aus because I going down to Adelaide for a week tommorow and can inspect myself. Hey guys the same burke who muddled up the removal of my tensioner also did not take note of which bolt went where when he took the timing cover off (safe to say he wont be touching my car again) does anyone have a guide or diagram about what size bolt goes where on an l28 timing cover Cheers

OK well that picture is not actually my engine its just one I found on the web, but my tensioner spring when I pulled the front cover off was bent out and up, the guides are fine I think it is just because one of the few people helping me turned the motor counter4 clockwise a bit before I had put the chain back on the cam. Either way I have ordered a new tensioner from Precision Intl as not even my Nissan dealer could get one without it costing $100 or more

Hey guys my tensioner on my 280zx has ended up looking much like this one http://www.zdriver.com/forum/280zx-s130-forums-77/finally-new-gasket-time-30877/page3/ and it has bent the spring c silly question can i use my one again or do i have to buy a new one and if i have to buy a new one where can i get it and how much is it or can i just replace the spring...... ive tried looking on ebay btw and the only thing i can find is the entire timing set eg (new chain, sprocket, tensioner and guides) Cheers

ok so i gave it a crack myself using the crap US 280zx Workshop manual on my laptop as a guide to whats what this is what i have come up with and dat2kman i took your advice and put on a aftermarket FPR and well this is the finished product tell me what you guys think, i think it certainly looks neater than the original
