  1. Hi guys, Sounds like a great day like it was last year. Unfortunately not only is the zed still in pieces, but I'll be out of the country until Christmas. Hope the day goes well, hopefully I can get the car on the road for next year. Jason.
  2. According to the owner's manual of my '77 2+2 it is 1245kg and the 2 seater is 1175kg Jason.
  3. I'm heading up for a look on Sunday, can't make it Saturday. wish the zed was ready so i could take it up though.....
  4. Ha ha. Didn't even notice it was missing when I read it first. Just assumed it was a 2+2 the same as mine!
  5. In the OP he said it was a 2+2, I assume the parts are 2+2 as well?
  6. I'd be interested in some of the interior bits. what condition is the centre console in?
  7. My '77 2+2 has 'Datsun' on a slant on the driver's side of the hatch and '2+2' under it (slightly to the right) parallel to the edge of the hatch. Mine's a manual so no 'nissanmatic' badge, but i have seen them on the original auto's. they are on the passenger's side. The 2-seater coupe's replaced the '2+2' badge with the '260z' badge. Also mine has no backing plates on either of the bonnet vents, guess one of the previous owners decided they weren't needed
  8. Well, I'm on the northside so anywhere is a drive for me, but any of the options sound good. Unfortunately the zed is not running so if there is a drive involved I will be doing it in a Mazda Astina! (hope this is acceptable) The year is steadily filling up, but mid November(13th) and early December(4th and 11th) are looking good, so I will put my vote in for those dates.
  9. Depending on the date, count me in too. Will be good to meet all you Brisbanites.
  10. I'd love to say yes to having n r32 gtr, but sadly the last thing from the nissan stables I owned was my 240k. I'm happy to be flying the 2+2 flag, a 2 seater would be no use to me as I've already got the +2 and the wife wouldn't approve the car unless it had a back seat.
  11. Thanks for all the info and contacts, once I get a parts list together I'll certainly be talking to some of them. Good to see there's still some friendly rivalry between QLD and Vic! If there is a get together up here in the north, count me in.
  12. Hi Guys, I've just bought a 1977 260z 2+2 after looking around for a while. I've previously restored a 1975 240k 4 door (a few years ago now) which I guess gave me the bug and I probably never should have sold it! But, the past is past and if I am honest I always wanted a zed anyway. So on to the car... As I said it's a '77 - original manual, it's red with some rust cut out already but generally the body is rust free, engine is completely stock - it even has the flat tops and standard air box - original alloys, original interior and it came with all the books and receipts including the purchase receipt. I think I'm about the 4th or 5th owner. And now on to the plan..... well when I started looking around I had this grand plan of what I wanted my zed to look like and what mods I would do to it along the way. Now I have the car, I consider how the previous owners have resisted the temptation to modify and I'm now thinking I might try to keep it as stock as possible. Whatever I do the car will become my daily drive as well as a bit of fun on the weekends. My next task it to make a list of what needs to be done and try to procure the parts to do it, I'll probably be asking some pretty dumb questions along the way so I will apologize in advance now. I'll kick it off by asking where the best place in Brissie is for zed parts? Jase.
