  1. Still available. I'm not far from Morphettville Racecourse. Will take a photo of it and post it later on if you'd like.
  2. Will have interior bits and pieces available soon if anyone is keen. (Back seat, centre console, trims etc) Debating whether to fit or sell the front seats or not. Anyone keen on them?
  3. Ah gotcha. Cheers for the help.
  4. Whys that? (sorry for noob question)
  5. As the title suggest. Currently wrecking a whole 280zx and just looked at the rear end, if I take the sub frame out of the 280 and 260, will the rear subframe (with diff/brakes etc) bolt into my 260?
  6. Radiator holds fluid no worries. But will have a better idea once its out. Yes is auto and auto will be up for sale once its out, keen on it?
  7. I might be able to part with the radiator as the 260 already has one. I just need the overflow bottle. Can you wait till I tackle the engine bay? Salty....Your not Australian if you dont have a bbq. Bonus point for its proximity to car.
  8. When not being used...its my table
  9. What are you after? The L28 (along with anything it needs to run) will be going into my 260.
  10. Can find out. You'd get change out of $20 I'm sure of it.
  11. Scando, i think of drift every time i see your name.

  13. Got the 280 off the ground today Started taking the suspension out and realised I need some more tools. So decided I'd take the dash out.. Seems to be fairly low k's The red car watching from behind the fence...
  14. My Zed is and will continue to be a bits-a car. Its currently got a bit of 240z (L24), it's a 260 and currently wrecking a 280zx, which motor and any other parts I need/want will be going into the 260. Paint and panel are the last things on my list, so it may look a little rough.
  15. Moved the parts car under some cover and put the rear on some jack stands. Seems there are some semi-decent Pedders shocks in the rear (with king springs *sigh*). Pulled the front end off rust is a bitch.
  16. Cheers! Helps me out heaps. I'm used to forums where in the for sale section you have Location Item Price with condition Photo(s) Contact and going through the for sale section here it just says, for example i have *x* part for sale and *x* location. With nothing to go on.
  17. Just had a quick read through the thread. Love it! Makes me want to paint my zed white.
  18. Was hoping this thread would help asI'll be stripping a 280zx very soon and I have no idea about parts pricing either. I don't want to get lowballed (I come from the R31 forums...some of the offers you get are ridiculous and hilarious) Guess I'll just have take a punt. Anyone have a rough idea how much you would sell 280zx bonnet, guards and bumper for in relatively good nick (no dents/ not much rust)?
  19. Good point. Its just hard finding another 260..mind you i havn't really looked. I just thought about the 280 interior as it is complete and in pretty good condition. Both cars are on site yes, only a few feet away from each other. Also awesome about the gearbox, thought they would. I would like to stay EFI and I'm thinking that I'm going to have to go after market ECU like a megasquirt.
  20. A few quick questions... Will my gearbox from behind my L24 (5spd) bolt up to the L28? I'm presuming since they are all relatively the same car there shouldn't be a real big problem. Also will a 280zx interior fit inside the 260? I've found the doors are differnt bit I dont know what else is. I'm fairly new to Zed cars do be gentle
  21. Could have been. Name would have been Coxy or some variant. Edit: Old Project thread http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,7191.msg67013.html#msg67013
  22. Cheers. I'm a bit of a photography nut, so every time I do something I take pictures of it to keep a record.
  23. A few arty shots.... Yesterday I picked up a 280zx to use for parts. The chassis rails looks like its been driven through a volcano. Plan is to rip the L28e out and shoe-horn it into my 260z along with the interior. The interior in the 280 is complete..unlike mine. Any parts I done use will be going up for sale. The 280 parts car Drivers door...basically bog Interior shots Replacement light L28...needs a bit of work
  24. Well this is my Zed. Its a 260z 2+2 that someone got creative with before me. I picked this up off a friend of mine after they moved interstate. This was the condition it was in....covered in dust Pretty much fell in love with it. So i grabbed it and took it home. After we got it off the trailer I left it to idle in my driveway and all of sudden fuel was gushing out of the exhaust. So I turned it off and go to cleaning it. The motor....an L24 Interior...this is where it starts to get weird Pulled this out of number 6...thought it could have been the reason why it ran so rich, so I replaced it. Still no luck So starting poking around the engine bay...it had a weird fuel system setup. After a few weeks of playing around with different people we came to the conclusion that one of the fuel lines was "supposed" to be a fuel breather. It connect to the number 6 runner of the inlet manifold, completely bypassing the carby. Could have done its job when it had the twin SU carbys on it, but with the single one it was creating a vacuum and sucking fuel straight out of the tank and in number 6. So we blocked it all of and it ran a treat. Only problem now is, I dont know how long it has been running this rich (basically it has diluted the oil giving it an extra half a litre when I changed the oil).
  25. G'day. Thought I'd jump on here as I have a 260z that I'm currently in the process of rebuilding and modifying. After I'm done with this post I will set up a members ride/project car thread to show you what I've got and what I plan to do. Name is Luke, live in Adelaide and a car nut. I do a lot of amateur photgraphy, so every time I do something to the car (work on it, take it for a drive) I tend to take photo's of it. Hoping to learn as much as I can around here.
