Great read, that’s were I jack my 280zx,i have seen crushed sills and rails as well so it sounds like a common thing u would think that the rails should be strong enough 4 a jack but clearly not.

Yeah it’s 4 an auto . It has the same purpose as a flywheel on a manual gearbox .It bolts to the back of the crankshaft and in front of the stall converter. I really need one has anybody got one.

thanks mate ill check them out,the car is not a daily driver,i know driving around with a hi stall drinks fuel and a pain in the ass off traffic lights my bro has one in his 65 mustang.

Sounds like a re-build job,ill see if auto flite dose this just wanna see if there was any other companys that did this kind of work.Or were 4 sale.3,000 stall would be great but i am after 3,500 Stall to suit my app.

Dose anybody know were 3,000 rpm-3,500rpm hi stall 4 a 280zx is i think auto flite might do it not sure? anybody else got any places let me know THANKS

i got my front and rear sway bars upraded on my 280zx by signuater sway bars i pretty shore thay can do it to a 260z

I have upgraded my front and rear sway bars 28 front and 24 rear but i need strut bracing to finish me handling needs i have tried whitlane,vpw,nolathane and signature does any know who make them in Australia?

i belive that both motor r fine. They will fit i think castlemaine rod shop makes engine mounts 4 those motors. Also go for a auto probly a c4 or a c6 with a high stally to suited your motor and manly a full manulized auto will help more or a shift kit depending on your needs.AND A 289 IS A 4.7 LITRE I SHOULD KNOW MY BROTHER HAD ONE ORIGANLLY IN HIS 65 FORD MUSTANG.

it alway good to see the 280zx going up in value when i brought mine 3 years ago it worth nothing i have put thousands of dollers into it so i hope the value might reach it one day

Go 4 the metallic blue. It does not have to stop there, u can have a pearl going through it like mine. There are so manly choice i belive u should go to the paint shop and go throught the charts. Make sure u look at them out in the sun when u get them so you really see the metallic or pearl ect. u will only deside then make sure your happy with your pick not everbody esle good luck make sure it 2 pack

go soda blasting.Bare metal is great start off new, bog what has to be and repair any more defects. Remeber to allow lots of time since u not a spray painter or panel beater. Remeber its all about layring prep it proply so the end result is good. Bare metal to the primer stage is the most important.Also dont get your heart stuck on one color there r many kick ass colors out there go 2 pack and work from there

go the 2 pack mate.2 pack has a much better finsh then acrylics paints and dos not fade as quick. The only thing is it will cost u more money but the end result is better. If u get it off the gun u dont need to do much color sanding brand to use would be (vic) ppg or baslac there are good stay away from protec there clear is rubbish good luck.

Why the crappy 253 they r wet why not go 4 a 308 same block and more power.Even a L28 out of the 280zx is better than a 2 fluffy 3. Just think all that time and effort for a crappy 2 fluffy 3 Please do somthing right and go 4 a 308.

u can find these kits in the usa but very hard to find anyone in australia who sells much z performance stuff so let me know if they is such a place
