update: still havent received my money and the seller is gettin increasingly harder and harder to get in contact with. very much turned off this car. would anyone be interested in purchasing this z?

hi jamo let me know what your friend decides. tried to be abit more money sensible and convince myself i dont want the l28et. but. i do. always have. i mean if i wanted to be sensible with cash.. why did i buy a z lol. already got the paint job sorted. the interior parts ill do slowly over time. i thought long and hard about an l28 with triples but cost wise you can spend just as much, and my greatest fear would be dropping all that cash and not being satisfied powerwise. your 400hps is more than i'd ever need in a car. that reminds me what are peoples opinions on these seats.

hey guys thanks for all your advice and encouragement. the good thing is i dont think ill be able to let go of the old girl just yet. its like a girlfriend. they give you lots of headaches and you want to throw in the towel.. but once your inside them you forget all about it. other news, was only just able to get into touch with the seller of the l28et. he told me that on his drive up, from what i understood his ute wheel came off on the road? well something big broke? and the trailer unhooked? something like that and it fd the engine and stuff. he told me ill be getting my money back. so hopefully nothing goes wrong. benny/gav/rb30x - that seemed like the way to go in regards to the l28. however this package jamo is offerring is very tempting. and those prices seem pretty daunting if i wanted to build my own. kato - only $200 to ship all of that? and the gearbox?? are you sure that seems super cheap! jamo - ill send you a pm.

as suspected after waiting at home all day for the guy to show up i get a message saying the trailer is fd and so is the engine. did not get a reply after that. apparently he will be returning my money. very disappointed to say the least. now dno what to do engine wise as the l28et was the only engine i wanted for the z. the whole experience has turned me off the car.

small update. after a month and a half of being fucked around by a seller, it looks as though my new motor will (*hopefully) be arriving today. this experience has turned me off buying any large/expensive items interstate ever again. will update the thread with some pictures when/if it arrives.

Hayashi Street 9.5" -19 195/55/15 SSR Formula Mesh 9.5" -33 205/60/15 i much prefer the 205/60, less stretch fatter tyre. having said that id rather have no stretch than stretch. ps. rear scrubs alot. guards are rolled. king springs. getting them cut up at welded soon to fix it.

i have 15x9.5 -19s on the front of my z. def. need flares to cover them. tire size makes a big difference with fitment. im running a 195/55/15.

you might be able to recoup more of your loses if you chuck an l26 in there. leave the efi gear. then sell your l3.1 on its own. you should get a pretty penny for the engine alone.

hi guys just wondering if the principles found in the below link can be applied to most seats for the 240z? http://zhome.com/ZCMnL/AcuraSeats/AcuraBeck.htm for example take off seat rails > make a DIY bracket to which the 240z rails/sliders can be put on > bolt into car? (that way we dont have to worry about brackets sitting the seats up too high like the bride rails which are made for the 240z). ive been researching this for a while but people are very vague with their descriptions just saying 'some modifications' were done etc. really really want to fit some 32gtr seats into the z.

Hi Zedsded i think couriering the set of superlites to melb would be 100-150$. (more exp because theres tyres on them/heavier) the superlites are all silver (set of 4). theyre the ones on my zed.
