Hi all, I'm looking for a 240z or 260z 2 seater. Ideally looking for something that's on the road but understand a project is probably more realistic with my budget. I have up to 16k to spend. I'm happy being patient and keeping my ear to the ground, but just thought I'd throw this out there in case anyone knew of anything that may suit. Unfortunately I am having to sell my 2+2 as I am moving interstate. Model: 1975 260z 2+2 Location: Melbourne (outer east) Condition: Good, but Engine/transmission are currently out, interior stripped. I have 99% of parts for it, really just needs some new carpet, seals and little bits and pieces. Body: Good condition, paint is good. Fibreglass front guards. No major rust anywhere, small amount in spare wheel well, and some cut from quarter windows (best to come see for yourself) Mechanical: L26 with electronic ignition, Hitachi carbs. Engine was removed 12 months ago but running well prior. Was an auto but am selling with a 280zx 5spd and most parts needed for conversion. Price and Payment Conditions: Looking for $2000 o.n.o Registration: N/A Extra Info: Has 260Z mags with good roadworthy rubber, all lower front panels with indicators / park lights, has original radio, reconditioned radiator, new Nissan thermostat, Dash cracks have been repaired but still requires finishing/painting. Hi guys, My name's Max and i bought Dimitri's old 2+2 mid last year. My plan is to use the car as a learning curve, ie try a bit of body work, paint and mechanical. And i hope to use it as a weekender and have it registered in a couple of years. i've been on the forums for about a year, just trying to soak up as much info as i can but i thought it's time i introduced myself and also i have a question... Over the last few months i've been stripping the car and i thought its time i start tackling some of the rust issues. My main concern is the front drivers side, where the car has previously been in an accident. At first i thought it was surface rust but after grinding it away i've found this dark pitted stuff. I'm just wondering if it needs to be cut out or if there is a way i can successfully treat it? Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thanks
