  1. Fair enough. My apologies. I'm happy to discuss the sale outside of ebay with anyone here, prior to any bids being placed. Cheers Brian
  2. Hi folks, It has been a very short life for me and this Zed having only just got it a month or two ago however due to a change in my personal circumstances, I'm not going to have the funds(and don't have the ability to do enough myself) to see this project through. Therefore, its on ebay. Cheers Brian http://cgi.ebay.com.au/240Z-Datsun-1972-L28-2-8-litre-Supercharged-260z_W0QQitemZ190266831346QQcmdZViewItemQQptZAU_Cars?hash=item190266831346&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=66%3A2%7C65%3A1%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318 Item number: 190266831346
  3. Is three not enough?
  4. Just came accross this. Haven't read much of it but might help. Cheers Brian http://www.biopatent.com/struts.html
  5. Count me in!!!
  6. I'm still in very much in the 'project' stage of this car so will have to give it a miss for the time being. No driving my Z anywhere yet :'(
  7. Rev, that would certainly be a much easier option if you have one. Let me know. Also, if he's parting out his Z, might have to have a chat about what else is going. mr240z, i looked at doing similar customs things but in end end, it just isn't worth it while the originals are still available.
  8. Luvemfast, Got any photos of them on the car, with the car in the photo, to get a better idea of how they look? Cheers Brian
  9. Thanks for the replies. I suspected I would have to get one from the states. Chris, I was thinking of trying to modify something and I went around to quite a number of different hose suppliers and manufacturers. None of them had anything flexible enough which was rated for fuel. I was surprised. I think in the end, it will be easier and cheaper to get it from the US. Shame the dollar dropped.....
  10. Not sure how it went with the blower. It was fixed up by the previous owners brother(a diesel mechanic) for her. Engine and body good but they never really saw it through. Now it my turn!
  11. Thanks for the welcome. And thanks for the offer of assitance Reverendzed. It will be good to have some local Zed's. Here's some photos of my project. It's got an L28 and was supercharged as you can see in the photo(I think the s/charger is off an MR2). It had a bypass section on it so you could just hit the switch and it would close the valve and run on the forced induction or have the valve open and run on normal air although the supercharger is always there spinning. The valve setup wasn't working and the car hadn't been started in a couple of years. I have removed the supercharger as I don't want the hassles or stress on the engine. Just want to keep things simple and straight forward. It was sititng under an average car cover for a few years so the paint has faded a little and has signs of the cover resting on it. I'm hoping a decent cut and polish will bring back some life. The body, engine etc had been redone a few years before that so hoping the engine is still good. I put some fresh fuel and a new battery in it and it started amazingly quickly and sounds healthy so fingers crossed. Its got the usual rust in the floor and support rails so that is the first step in the overall scheme of things. And so the fun begins.....
  12. Gday guys I recently purchased myself a 240Z to fix up. Its got an L28 with twin Su's. Body and engine were done a few years ago so its not great but not in too bad shape. Hoping to tidy it up to be a basic street car at this stage. (Love to do more but it all comes down to $$$) I met a couple of you recently at the meeting point for the recent cruise day in Melbourne. I'll post some picks soon. Cheers Brian
  13. Hey folks I'm building up a 240Z to be a basic street car and the fuel filler hose is old, cracked and leaking fuel. I can see a few online overseas but was wondering if anyone has sourced one locally or found an alternative to the stock one? Cheers Brian
