Hi i have started the long rd to ground up resto 260z 2 seater, and before i complete the body iam looking at everything to see if extra brackets or body modification is required for the motor and intercoolers. the motor is a L28 that i have in a car for a parts donor. I have little to no experience or knowledge regarding this particular motor, all i know is that the previous owner spent a lot of money on the motor as young people do ,had it 3weeks and lost his licence for 3 years doing 240 in a 80 zone. he parked the car and never went back to it about 12 years ago as you can tell it has been sitting in the weather fortunately not coastal. However the motor turns but have not attempted a start up as sitting around for such a long time need to look at the turbo and stick an inspection camera in the pots to see how bad, and wiring and pipe work well thats a whole different story. I was looking for anyone that can give me some information about the motor and what its ability in the power range is and in particular the Naps computer system , the previous owner had put a Micro tech series 2 ECU unit on it however as mentioned before the wiring leaves a lot to be desired.

Hi might be able to help with a door a currently have a complete 2+2 as a donor car for my 2 seater and will not have use for the doors may require some parts off the doors they are undamaged and from seem to be rust free however the lock hasn,t worked and have never opened the door. Hi if you are looking into bringing items over, is it possible to bring in 2 260z 2seater doors complete as well i would be interested however i guess cost will be a big factor.

Unfortunately even after payment and transport had been arrange the last seller sold the doors else were so i am still looking for a pair of doors for my 260z 2 seater 1975 , so if any one has a set, condition is not a real concern just as long as they are complete.

Hi I was sitting looking a the 260z 2+2 and thought it body shape would look good as a speed boat The engine would be mounted behind the seats with access through the hatch with a fire wall between The seating area remained the same including dash the roof could slid back over the hatch for an open cabin Or slid forward over the seats for an I closed cabin.the bonnet front lights remain the same the engine bay would be Enclosed for storage or uncomfortable bed. Just thought I would throw that one in Does anybody think I am barking up the wrong tree or could it work.

Hi everyone I'am following in the foot steps of many and restoring a z. The previous owner had start the Reno however like many ran out interest and money, his efforts while reasonably professional , were a rushed job so I Will redo all his patches. The car is accident free and all rust spots are non structural and limited to small areas Now for the bad news while I have purchase an additional donor car for parts an panels it is a 2+2 therefore every thing from the front pillar back does not fit so the bad news is I require two doors ,one hatch ,and 2 quarter windows As 2+2 will supply the rest. Is there anywhere I can Aquire thes parts in Australia ,they are available out of the states but would prefer to shop local. Craig
