  1. Ok guys, I've decided not to waste my money on the old L series engine, when I was planning to do an engine swap anyway. If it popped while I was building it, I was gonna swap engine anyway, which meant a lot of wasted money, and I've just about bought a house so money will be an issue, so skip straight to engine swap. The following parts are open to offers. Turbo T4 tubular header suit L series BHJ 2 groove damper, bought brand new for $600 if my memory serves me M90 supercharger with 8 rib pulley, idler wheel to suit, and pulley removal/install tool P90 head, in good condition, no pictures as it is with someone else at the moment, was going to be ported for me. F54 block, head off, no metal in oil, but will need oversize pistons and a rebuild, all parts assosiated, alt and whatnot Fancy L series oil cap Unknown headers,6-2-1 2 and 1/2 inch Su's, unknown condition, just pulled them off because I wasn't interested in using them(im a FI guy) Rear ZG flares in FG, untrimmed and in gelcoat(im getting bigger rears from US) Let me know if you interested in something and PM me with an offer. Im located in Perth Aaron
  2. Nah i was changing down coming up to a corner not mid corner. Box was rebuilt pretty recently
  3. You wouldn't know how to adjust it by any chance, I had a quick search on Google but nothing really spoke about actually going about adjustment. Basically, I believe the KAAZ was the cause my my grenading of 2nd gear via down shifting coming into a turn. Power down in 2nd is unaffected, however, when trying to "engine brake" the gearbox now pops out of gear. I'm in the process of converting to a rb25 gearbox, and I don't really want to break one of those, as it's run me close to 3k so far and i haven't even got it in yet. The RT mount going in might help a little limiting movement of the diff. But it's true that I don't need such a harsh engagement with very little torque differential, after all, my car is daily driven. I might contact the person I bought the KAAZ off of and see if they have instructions on this subject. Thanks for your input nat0. Aaron
  4. Page 3 in this section, for sale 15k
  5. Hey guys, I've had to bite the bullet, when i bought the LSd I didn't fully understand how a 2 way worked. Right now I want to see if anyone would be interested in this LSD, which is still in my car at the moment. Thinking of getting a mechanical locker of some kind which is 1.5 way. It is a little harsh for my liking, but works superbly locking up both wheels with little acceleration(can hear inside wheel "slipping" around almost every corner). Im about to try a RT mount to try quieten down it's movement. It was run in correctly (half hour of doing figure 8's in a car park must have looked wierd to people driving past. was very tiring). Upon finishing the run in procedure we dropped the oil and refilled. 5000km after that I dropped the oil again, which looked new. The oil that came out after the run in was very metalic, but after woods the diff was very quiet. This would suit a person who drives thier car on the limit, or who can put up with the spool like locking(parking is noisy ). Model: R200 KAAZ LSD Location: Perth Item Condition: Excellent Price and Payment Conditions: Currently EOI But i would like $800 ono, I can try figure shipping out, I'm sure I could send it through some form of transport if the situation calls for it Contact Details: PM me on here, also 0415640722 if you'd like to talk.
  6. I just bought one of these adapters from Austin, it appears to be of very high quality and I'm sure they are. I've bought other things from him before and he's a stand up guy who is willing to help out the Z community! Cheers mate. I got it today Aaron
  7. I think it's a good time to give oyu this link. www.hybridz.org . Look around, pretty sure there's guys getting 500+ rwhp on turbo motors.
  8. i think the guys over at hybridz have online version in their FAQ section. forget that, i remember seeing it somewhere, i just did a quick look at hybridz and found nothing, sorry for the run around
  9. anyone feel like knocking up an extra and sending it west?
  10. When i first bought my 240z, i had aspirations of dropping in a big V8, but if you read DOTARS, the maximum allowable size engine for a registered 240z is something like 4.2l, anything after that required A LOT of engineering to convince the transport people that the car can handle having such a large engine between the rails(brake upgrades, chassis stiffening yada yada). But if you know an engineer that is willing to sign off on it and take that responsibility, more power to you, i just didn't know any that would risk so much. That squished my plans pretty violently, in the end I've decided to stick with the good ol' L series, with a power adder . Just remember to submit your plans BEFORE you undertake the buying of parts, or else you'll be left high and dry. Of course, if you don't intend it to be legal, none of what i just said matters, and good luck with the conversion! Aaron
  11. 0294760111 speak to warren, apparently he is importing them from japan.
  12. thanks mate, Apparently there is a wrecker who is bringing in some NEW ones from japan, but i wanted something a little sooners as that is going to take a few weeks before they arrive. Plus having a spare one would not go a stray as my window shattered out of nowhere. Car is sitting under a car cover with a towel over the window to keep the water out of the interior. I called a couple of guys over there, 1 hasn't got back to me and the other said yeah no problems, then never called back.
  13. So does no one know where to get windows from? Im sure this information would be usefull to more then just myself.
  14. Hi guys Anyone know where i can get my hands on a new drivers side window for a 1973 240z? thanks! Aaron
