Gordo Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Going from stock sway bars in my race 240z, What size can you get in front and rear sway bars. As in how big can you get them ,and where can you get them from. Anyone have over size and what sort of affect did it have on the car. Cheers. Quote
DAZDA Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 There is some info in these threads... http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,9874.0.html http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,9370.0.html Consider trying to get adjustable anti-roll bars. I'd recommend adding 'adjustability' to any new suspension parts being added to a track car. Quote
Scando Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 When I bought my car it had a standard front bar and a 22mm rear bar in it, I think to counter the understeer from the welded diff. It worked well until I put the cage in and that made it way too stiff in the rear resulting in massive oversteer on the exit of corners. I went back to a 16mm Whiteline rear bar and it's really nicely balance now. I've bought a 25mm Selby front bar to try with the 22mm rear bar to see how that works but I haven't had a chance to try it yet. Quote
260DET Posted November 30, 2012 Posted November 30, 2012 Big front ARB, none or a thin (12mm?) rear bar. Been a while, ~24mm front? Sort that bitch out, springs and dampers are just as relevant or more so for a race car, but the above will get you well within the zone. Quote
