sanGK Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 Hi everyone! Just found out that the rust repair cost for my 74 2+2 in Malaysia has doubled, due to a severly damaged underside:-( Previous owners used it for drifting and patched the damage poorly. Was planning to buy certain things and now I cant! Does anybody have these parts available very cheaply? 1. wiper-signal switch assembly 2. Front signal light assembly ( the curved ones under the bumpers) 3. Any of the rubber/weatherstrip parts ( or any compatible ones that i can use for all these rubbers) 4. RB25det engine wiring loom I so wish I had the $$ to give the car the treatment it deserves!! Hope someone out there has the answers to my prayer:-) Thanks guys! Quote
thriller Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 Dimitri on here (zedman240) may be able to help you with the first two? Occasionally group buys happen for #3 for less than $400, plus postage IIRC? And maybe try your luck on http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/ for the 4th one. God luck hunting! Quote
Scoota G Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 Dimitri does have the wiper switch assembly, i seen two there in his collection on Sunday. Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted October 9, 2012 Moderators Posted October 9, 2012 Mark, if you remember where they were, remind me! I'll have a good look on Saturday for you. I do have an average pair of front indicators...how bad are yours? Quote
Scoota G Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 One was loose, left hand side of the shelfing on a pallet but i think there were more in the electrical box located with the rear interior plastic trims and door trims. Quote
sanGK Posted October 9, 2012 Author Posted October 9, 2012 Wow, thanks guys! Dimitri, an average pair of signal lights is better than a non existent pair, haha. One side's completely missing, and one side has a black painted lens (can't be salvaged) with nothing else, no holder, no wiring nothing. As my car doesnt have the fender signals ( I dont know whether some cars were not fitted with them?) the front signals are absolutely crucial especially in the malaysian road environment! The wiper/signal assembly is shot as well. $400 for the weatherstrip kit, although still expensive, is actually really good compared to the 7++ that i saw somewhere. I shall save up for that soon. Did see a thread saying that I can use the Kia sportage door rubbers as they fit very very well, so might have a go at that. Quote
sanGK Posted October 18, 2012 Author Posted October 18, 2012 Hey Dimitri! Just wanted to follow up on the signal lights and switch assembly. Any luck finding them? Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted October 18, 2012 Moderators Posted October 18, 2012 Got the lights...just haven't checked for the switch yet. I usually go on Saturdays for bits and pieces. Quote
sanGK Posted October 22, 2012 Author Posted October 22, 2012 Heyy guys! Just found out I may be able to get a cheap ride for my items to Malaysia! Does anybody have an air dam and fender flares that they're willing to let go for free or at a reasonable price? I really don't mind if they require some work before mounting. I have the lights sorted out already ( courtesy of Dimitri :-) ) So still scouting around for the other items on the list. Thanks! Quote
sanGK Posted October 26, 2012 Author Posted October 26, 2012 Ignore the request for the airdam, my free ride just became limited to a small box:-( Quote
