Yeah I went with Autometers and use a GPS speedo. Its great and accurate - excpet for tunnels

Yeah, I considered that, but as im in the ACT, our longest tunnel is about 300 meters, and plus it was the only time i was going to see my z with 00000kms!!! brand new

Oh,

At Targa High Country tarmac rally in 2010,

Running a5.146 diff, 606mm diam tyres, 0.85 fifth gear, at approx 9000 rpm,

We had a speed reading of 212 kmh.

Roads closed for event, no long straights lot of tight twisty stuff.

With 5.1 diff it had excellent corner exit capability.

 

It wasnt a Z, but a Datsun 120Y

Was not designed to do 212 k's but, when new!
