red76z Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 I was just wondering if any one has grafted the diff, front and disc rear calipers from a 2002 ss vy commodore. Into a 76 260z. If they have any info and or pictures would be very appreciated. I am doing the LS1 conversion and have spent the past 14 months cutting rust out of the car. The drive train is ready to rock. A full ground up build. Lots of fun. Quote
Gordo Posted August 4, 2012 Posted August 4, 2012 You should talk to zed240au, Mighty Mick is in Devonport and has an ls1 in his zed, might be able to help you out. Cheers. Quote
red76z Posted September 13, 2012 Author Posted September 13, 2012 I have posted some pictures in the gallery. Working on the brakes at the moment. Hilux fromt calipers with 300zx rotors. Quote
tir33d Posted September 14, 2012 Posted September 14, 2012 So you trying to use Holden brakes or hilux. My track toy with ls1 hasn't really hurt the r200 diff ( I have though). Quote
red76z Posted October 14, 2012 Author Posted October 14, 2012 I have just finished the front brake conversion with the Hulix calipers and the 300zx front rotors. I had a engineer spin up a couple of spacers to offset the discs from the hub. Awesome job. He did not touch the hub but instead machined the spacers and took a few mm off the center of the 300zx rotors, put a step on them to locate the disc and that is it. They are about 9.8mm thick and made from steel as we thought the step design in alloy would not be strong enough. Quote
