chinna Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 Hey Guys I am looking at selling my R180 long nose diff Its a 3.9.1 ratio STI RA Suretrac diff which is still a mechanical torque sensing LSD like a Quaife, not clutch type I planned to use it in my MR30 skyline but have changed my mind to a R200 instead. i was thinking around $450 ono I also have the STI cv's available for sale to, perfect for conversion I would consider package price for both I have cleaned the diff up and polished the rear housing . I have had new seals and bearings installed there was nothing wrong with the originals but i though before it goes in I might as well. Quote
luvemfast Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 So what's better then? Clutch type or torque sensing? Quote
d3c0y Posted July 1, 2012 Posted July 1, 2012 Clutch is best for track work etc suretrack for street basically. I thought being an RA it would be a clutch type? Quote
260DET Posted July 1, 2012 Posted July 1, 2012 For a torque sensing diff the car must be set up so the rear wheels are always on the ground, which usually means no rear ARB for a start. I use one on the track and like it. Quote
