New vehicle

G,day,  Just picked up our new Triton GLX Club cab with alloy tray from Traralgon yesterday. Very impressed with performance & handling so far (350k's). Should give us a few more options of towing the camper trailer than the BF one tonner we had. Any one on here got one?? Interested to hear what you reckon.

You are happy with the handling and performance? I definitely do not rate either of those highly, but this is not the reason to buy these cars in the first place IMO.

 

I have a GLXR and the thing handles like a boat and is ridiculously unpredictable in 2wd mode on slightly slippery surfaces, but as I said, did not expect this car to rate high up in those departments anyway.

 

Maybe the club cab might handle a bit better and perform better due to its weight saving over the GLXR? I don't know.

It just so happens i was looking into these cars myself. Not a brand newey but one a few years old. Either that or a Hilux or Navara. I'm trying to convince myself to go turbo deisel but I just dont do them for some reason, I prefer the low range torque from the NA petrols. The turbos I've driven feel luike to have to bury the foot to get them spooling hard before they go anywhere. Only problem is the NA Unleadeds chew more fuel.
