Hi all,

Basically i had my entire braking system overhauled which included newly lined rear brake shoes. I got these brake shoes from Peter Hall who races historic racing. he had planned to use them on his legendary 260z vintage racer, but he recently moved into super modifieds which means a disc conversion on the rear so he didnt need them anymore. They are newly lined, never used. the reason i didnt use them was that they are for Late 260z, we didnt know when i got them from pete whether or not i was early or late 260 so i took a punt and i was wrong. I have the earlier type drum so i had to pay to get mine relined. They are pictured here;

They are listed on ebay bidding from $50. I will leave it open here - if someone wants to do $50 plus postage. i will take it and remove from ebay. i have veriofied that these fit many datsuns, but in 260z land the 78 model is the one, part number N1386. please move quickly if you want them, the price is cheap, if a bid is placed on ebay i prefer to be fair on that buyer and let that run its course.

My existing ones were around $130 to re-line.

cheers,

Peter

Nothing is cheap anymore, I didn't think there was any difference in the brake linings, what a bummer they didn't fit.

mtopxsecret6 - if you remove a rear wheel and drum, you should be able to tell pretty easily if these are the right type or not.

I had the same problem as Pedro, I bought this type (n1339 is the part number I think), but my 74 2+2 needed the earlier n1350 shoes, which I couldn't find new, so I got my old ones re-lined.
