Hi,

My name is Peter I live in Doveton, Melbourne and 55 years old.

I have just competed a 4 car garage and it's about time I started doing what I have wanted for a long time!

Which is of course to start a resto on a 260/280Z 2 seater. Not too hot on 2 x 2's.

So if anyone has a spare one hanging around? :)

Don't mind if it's in bits as long as most of it is there. Don't need a motor...I have a 280ZX series 2 turbo motor that was built to race on gas.

I also have a sequencial gas injection kit for it but I don't know if I like the idea of a gas tank behind the seats!

Anyway hope to meet some of you guys so I can druel over your Zeds.

Welcome Peter.  :)

Ebay will be your best bet, but they do pop up here from time to time.

In the meantime, save up your pennies and pay more for a better car, will work out cheaper in the long run.  ;)

Don't know how but looking at my emails this morning I actually won the bid!

I now own a 260z 2+2!! (in bits)

Now I have to hire a trailer and drive 2 days up and 2 days back to get it!

I was looking at the damaged rear 260z coupe at Sportsclasic cars (drivers side rear quarter is concertinaed) and wondering if the 2+2 and the coupe are the same from the centre of the rear wheel arch back. I could cut the rear corner from the 2+2 and graft it into the coupe

Then I thought it may be a good idea to look on the forum (der).

Looks like I forget that idea!

Just did a quick trip up tp northern NSW and picked up the 260Z 2+2.

14 hr run back to Melbourne. Thought my bladder might burst (did stop at Yass for dinner though!) Home at 2:30 AM

The car itself has had the running gear partly installed so it could be rolled onto a trailer.

All the rest of the parts have been put higgle dee piggle dee in boxes, as in brake parts with interior parts etc. and hardly anything has been tagged.

No rust in the floor. The whole floor still has all the sound deadening in place.

I will post some photos soon
