vramjee91 Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 Yeh I was thinking about it. I was gonna buy just the shell and transfer as much as I can from the 2+2 into it. But I think I might sit on for a bit and save up more $$ and wait for the right one ..... There was the black shell that sold a couple of days ago, and was pretty gutted that I lost it. But yeh guess I'm back to waiting again. But really like the look of this one. It looks well balanced and everything. cheers for the phone convo The other day Sam, made me want a 2 seater and I thought about it a bit more. And that would be sick! I still have a year and a bit left on my p's so still ages to wait for turbo! Quote
Jz260 Posted June 3, 2012 Author Posted June 3, 2012 Hey again all, Most recent news on my car; I got a wheel alignment done the other day. Took it for a drive after and it felt like the turn in was a fair bit better as well as the steering was more precise. Here is the data they printed for me. I'm not sure at this stage what I want to do next. The to do list is; LSD Roll cage Suspension Brakes Quote

tbscobraZ Posted June 4, 2012 Posted June 4, 2012 Up the mighty P- platers! That colour is close to what I'm going for just has abit more of a green shine to it, stunning! Quote
Jz260 Posted June 18, 2012 Author Posted June 18, 2012 Update; So it has started leaking a lot of oil from the rear main I believe. I have posted about this in general maintenance if anyone has advice on it. I'm going to replace the clutch and differential while I'm at it too. Upgrade to that LSD! Quote
Jz260 Posted August 2, 2012 Author Posted August 2, 2012 Latest news on the 260z; I have fixed all the issues previously mentioned. It took me quite some time to change the rear main seal and clutch etc but it has definitely been worth it. I love the heavier, more responsive feel to the clutch now and the fact that it is no longer loosing oil Brake squeal has been completely eliminated with shims... what else... It's all nice and dandy now.. It's also no longer shooting the dipstick out.. sold. Only downside is that I'm getting rid of it. I feel that I've really enjoyed the process but it's time to move on. Possibly come back to working on Z's in the future but after I finish uni i'd say.
