TBOWGN
I love the look of the zed's just like all of us I'm sure. However, part of me thinks that the rear end tail lights let's the car down a bit. Even when you see an awesome clean repainted example the tail light still look a bit stale and old. Does anyone else know what I mean? Can you buy new rear lights to brighten it up? What colours have you painted the rear panel around the lights? I'd love to see some pics and ideas of what you guys have done to renew the rear end of your zed's. nizm0zed
http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php?topic=2902.120 Almost at the bottom of the page. Custom LED lights fitted into the standard frames. Keeps a standard look but modernises the overall appearance.
TBOWGN
That's perfect! Love it.... Thanks for that, good man! From Autobarn you say?
nizm0zed
yup. And the lenses are filled with Epoxy resin to make them 'indestructable' and fully sealed. the resin is what gives them that clear appearance and defined LED look. Without it, its still quite diffused like a standard light.
saxon
Couldn't disagree with you more! I think the rear end, including the lights, is the cars best feature. When I bought my zed, the previous owner drove it over. When he backed it up my driveway towards me, and tapped the brakes, my heart skipped a beat. So sexy. TBOWGN
Don't worry if I'm able to carbon copy nizm0zed's LED lights when I complete mine, I'll be walking backwards everytime I park up too
nizm0zed
they are copywrite. If you want to copy them you have to pay royalties, $2 per lense per person looking at them. yea, that should fund my car for a while.... Edit, http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php?topic=2893.0 that should give you some ideas. I remembered it was covered on here before... TBOWGN
Well that sounds fair. Should be an average of 100 looks a day, so that's $1400 p/w. Do you take credit card?
Moderators Zedman240® Posted March 14, 2012 Moderators Share Posted March 14, 2012 Copyright means its all right to copy... Does the brake LED also do the parker function? When I was at Hella (auto light manufacturer) I scored a pair of the brake/parker LED assemblies without the housing..perfect to fit into the 240Z housing..its been on my to-do list for years..
