Installed 280zx distributor now tacho doesnt work

as the title suggests I have just installed a 280zx distributor into my 260 and the tacho no longer works. Has anyone else done this and knows how to rewire it or what I need to get? Went to an auto electrician who said it would cost about $400 but there is surely a simpler option.

use the green white wire for power on the coil.

Interesting...

I spent quite a bit of time researching this AND playing around with the wiring on my 2+2, and in the end had to get the tacho rebuilt to take the new Dizzy & coil.

Use the R30 Skyline (L24E) dizzy.

I found it on ebay, was about $100 in good condition. Cant imagine it would be too hard to find another but i dont know.
