DAZDA Posted November 30, 2011 Posted November 30, 2011 No offence intended custommade, but the search function is there for a reason... I gave it a go and came up with these two threads pretty fast. http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,8653.msg82363.html#msg82363 http://www.viczcar.com/forum/index.php/topic,3948.msg35821.html#msg35821 Quote
chris240 Posted December 1, 2011 Posted December 1, 2011 http://www.toperformance.com.au/distrib_fs.html link for state distributers... top-performance is the National wholesaler for konis Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted December 1, 2011 Moderators Posted December 1, 2011 Yep, I do have the yellows fitted. Spacers have to be made to lift the insert high enough for the gland nut to hold it tight. Some measuring is involved. Quote

Was just looking for conformation as one of the links(that I found when I searched) you have is from 2009. cant hurt to ask. Thanks Dimitri. I still have all of the auto tranys that I got off you, one has a shift kit in it. looking forward to seeing how it shifts...when I finally get it going. This out of one of your posts do you remember if this is still correct? Found out today in the Koni Yellows for 240z that the 8641-1060SPORT fit in the front and rear... A 20mm spacer is needed for the front pair though (with a small loss in travel the only downside). Thanks again to Ray Bell for chasing up the Koni's! Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted December 1, 2011 Moderators Posted December 1, 2011 Yep that is correct. If you are fitting them into a 240Z (51mm) tube, they will be a tight fit; I had to remove a couple of layers of paint off the shock to fit! Quote

If you aren't new to this internet thing, then perhaps you could have structured your post a little better by letting us know that at the start. For example... "Having done a search, there appears to be some contradiction. Could any of you guys please confirm the correct part numbers for Koni Yellows for a 240Z (and mods required) or the right people to contact. The results of my search have found the following part numbers; Front - XXXXXXXXXX or XXXXXXXXXXXX (with XX mm spacers required) Rear - XXXXXXXXXXX or XXXXXXXXXXXX (with XX mm spacers required) On a side note, when I joined this site I got smashed for not introducing myself, posting something that was viewed as promoting a business (because of my signature), etc. And yet you guys are happy to let vague and possibly repetitive posts like this slide... FTW!!! It's like, smash the newbies but if you've been here for a while you can post whatever you like. At least be consistent!! NOTE: custommade this is NOT directed at you. This is a general comment about the forums, so don't get your knickers in a knot. Flame away. I'm a relative newbie anyway, so prove me right. Quote
