Just out of boredom i decided to look at hobby co and i stumbled upon this http://www.hobbyco.com.au/product/show_item.php?plu=T12010

I don't know if anyone is interested in stuff like that but if you are i reckon it would look pretty cool when properly completed, i may even go and take a look myself.

The quality of those kits don't look to be that great plus the scale is 1/24, the Tamiya scale is 1/12.

I guess it depends on what you want, if you just want something that looks like a 240 they are fine but if your a proper collector/modeler (which i am not) then you wouldn't waste your efforts on a low quality kit.

Then again instead of getting a model i can get an RC 240

Occasionally around here they have a gathering of people with the rc drift cars. mostly ae86's+skylines. Looks like a lot of fun

I have the Tamiya and HPI Radio Controlled Z's sitting at home waiting to be built, well, more correctly, the Tamiya one is waiting for me to finish the HPI one, and the HPI one is waiting for me to go to the bearing shop so I can purchase the ball bearings which HPI decided not to include in my kit  Apparently diffs will function quite well without these.    However, the rest of the kit looks great.

in a previous life when the display shelf (and garage) was

devoted to two wheels Tamiya was the kit of choice, excellent

detail. still have 2 unassembled YZR500 Yamahas to do one day

i cant imagine there were zg police cars. there where a homologated for race use, wouldnt be worth the expense to the cops, but they did have regular z's

I found on ebay the 1/12 African safari 240Z for $100 that still is in its box waiting to be built; not sure if I should tackle it or hand it to a proffesional. There is a youtube vid of someone assembling it and of course makes it look real easy...6 part video if you can find it.

I used to love building models when i was a kid. now i build the real thing would love to have the time to build a few more models though

There seem to be alot of scale models of jap ZG police cars, I have a couple myself (models)so there must have been some real ones.
