The 260z I have has had manual convertion however the diff is auto

 

I have a manual diff

 

However is there any point in chaging it

 

What are the pros and cons?

With an auto diff in a manual car, highway driving is great but acceleration suffers. Auto diffs are 3.5:1 whereas manual diffs are 3.7:1 If you are happy with the way it drives, you can leave it but if you plan on doing any track work, I'd change it.

My first z was a manual with manual diff. It hauled ass. Didn't go too fast but it got there pretty damn quickly.

 

Now have an auto just like yours. Swapped the gearbox. Feels like a turd. It goes when it eventually gets up to speed. As soon as I'm cashed up I'm searching for a diff to replace it.
