Sweet ill will cheak my pm. Thanks buddy
-
Well I'm in Adeliade mate I can collect
-
Yeah look the luck I have I'd rather get it done once done right If I have them machined at least thats something I don't have to worry about.
-
Well according to koni there are the correct ones and just need spacers. There recommendation is and I quote It sounds a bit back yardish but that's what we recommend They also recommend tranny fluid to help dispurse the heat. I'm actually having the spacers machine made not cheap!! Ill see what happens but two garages so far have also confirmed they are correct after bit of research one was a restoration garage that has done this before and where I'm getting the spacer from.

Sweet best answer so far. Thanks buddy.

It's what I was sold to fit a 260z From the Suspention wearhouse. I'm starting to have my doubts. I'm slighty pissed off tbh I was very clear with the guy on the phone about what was required
-
So pictures to help Konis are the yellows obviously!! And the strut tube. Thanks in advance
-
Standard mate Where do I get the spacers from? I take it I just drop it into the stut tube?

I have a pair of konis 8641 1060 sports I've been told they fit the rear of the 260z 2+2 Except there 100mm shorter then the ones I've pulled out. Do these need to be modified to fit. I've read the for 300zx is this true If they need to be modified how do you do it These were bought brand new.

Thanks I just want to replace the suspention in the most cost effective way coz its s bit shagged at the moment. Not interested in lowering or putting wider wheels. Just replacing the suspention with something that works and dont cost a small fortune. Cheers J

Hi Probably been asked a million times I'm looking at getting the suspension sorted out It's stock set up ATM afaik However I'm looking on the net and Just want a bit of clarity Where do you guys go to get your suspension parts? I'm not really interested in height adjustable it's not going on a track I've seen KYB at a reasonable price are these any good? Are there aftermarket suspension parts that are a straight swap or do I have to hake away at things. Not something I want to do unless dirt cheap tbh also think I'll change all the bushings while I'm at it but what's best changed to poly and what's best to keep OE Basically I'm after sorting this out in the most cost effective way. Im not cheap I owned a Skyline R33 GTST in the UK most places you could actually see the $$$ in the eyes light up trying to cream you for more money, like a skyline tax if you will. Eg battery went flat. For a Skyline sir about £145!!! Take battery out, send Dad back in. Have you got a battery like this? yeap £35 wtf Do you see my point? Thanks J

The 260z I have has had manual convertion however the diff is auto I have a manual diff However is there any point in chaging it What are the pros and cons? Thanks J

Thanks for the advise Dave Will do The Interia has full leather retrim about the only thing not done is the carpet but that isn't in bad nick either The worst thing about it is the rust on the bottom of the drivers side rear wheel arch and the back boot slam panel is completely fubard. Hope I haven't taken on to much of a big deal. Already had a few people willing to offer there help. Anything Mechanically wrong I can fix however body work I'm ok ish.

Hi Well I'm not quite that bad........................................... Yet Im no stranger to restoring cars done a few over my time including a Mk III Supra and do all my own work on my Nissan Skyline R33 GTS-T. However due to a huge kick in the guts and a massive recession I lost my job in the UK, struggled to find work for almost two years, lost my house and self respect so took a huge gamble and emigrated here a little over 18 months ago. The Supra was sold to fund the tickets and the Skyline put in storage. Anyway had some spear cash after tax back and was looking at buying a car A 260z come up. Its not in the best of shape and I'm sure there's a lot better out there. However I'm looking to restore it................................................ I hope. Not sure if the guy I bought it off is already a member or not but the amount of spears this guy has was unreal. When I pick it up i'm taking the ute and going to fit what I can in there. So being a bit new to the country Ill be asking for some help. Ok a lot of help. If anyone wants to lead there skills some time there will be plenty of bear on tap and ill fire up the bbq just for good measure. First question I do have is I need a rear wheel bearing done but I'm confused there appears to be three types, i take they inside outside and ?? http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/mmp/nissan~260z~wheel_bearing~parts.html Second question any one recommend a decent panel beater that can deal with a few areas of rust Comments welcome and Enjoy the photos.
