Gday all,

Had a bit of a search and came up empty.

I am after some feedback from those who have fitted or seen a fitted example first hand of Alfa Motorsports fiberglass bonnet for Z's.

What is the fit and finish like?

Will it marry up with standard guards etc without major fettling?

All Z bonnets are the same dimensionally? Mine is a '75 2+2.

Thanks

I have one on my car too, the finish isnt too bad.

Its got the hardware in place to screw the striker assembly straight in, but you do need to drill your bonnet mount holes.

The edges leave a bit to be desired, its very obvious that there is an upper and lower layer to the glass assembly, with some time, you could finish it off to a nice rounded edge.

As above, great for a track car, pretty good for a decent car, but for an absolute show stopper, not worth it.

If your looking for a really good quality one, get it from Restored, via Otomoto.

Other than the front spoiler and guards I can't recall what they have for a 2+2. I asked them about a rear and they said they could make a fit. Would be worth contacting them as they always reply to emails.

ppl, not ment to hijack, but give me couple of week and u"ll have a Real fabricator quality, guaranteed FLAT finish. we uses High temp resin for bonnet and guaranteed not to distort under sun.

does anyone has a spare 240z bonnet, if u have pls call me direct on 0401216460 ? i've been looking, mine has custom vents that previous owner did that's not my liking......

Hey Topstage,

Are you going to go ahead and definitely make fiberglass bonnets?  What will be the price?  Cheers, Roberto
