oldmates260z Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 How does a R180 from a auto (if thats right) run in a manual (R200) 260Z? Is it done? What do you do to get the speedo reading correctly again? Quote
dalee Posted February 5, 2007 Posted February 5, 2007 From what I have been told bout my car (never pulled it personally) they had to use a 280 gearbox to match up to the 3.5 auto dif when the manual converson was done. I am sure it retained that dif because is used to tick over at 26-2700rpm @ 70mph in top. Dale Quote
nat0_240_chevZ Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 If the ratios differ, which they probly do, need to match the right colour speedo gear in the g/box, its this gear that is suited to the different diff ratis not the box itself, not too hard to chabge either. Quote
oldmates260z Posted February 6, 2007 Author Posted February 6, 2007 As I remember it you can pull out the speedo drive gear without too much truoble, retained by a small keeper plate. Any idea how you work out what the correct one to put in? Thanks Tim Quote
