flat top SUs - mixture screw

Quick question - I've finally found some time to play with my zed, and am fiddling with the carbies.

 

On the flat tops, which way should this screw be turned to lean it out? Screwing it down? Is that right?

 

Note: I know they're crap, and I'm not keeping them, but my triples aren't ready to go on yet.

replying to my own post - looking at the cut-away diagram I've got, it would appear unscrewing the mixture screw adds more air from the airbox to the mixture, thereby leaning it out?

unscrewing the mixture knob will lean the carbs  If your talking idle mixture screw thats next to the carb. You'll probably have to fiddle with the idle speed screw on the balance tube of the manifold.

Then i know this will create an entire new set of problems. I made my own reducers with oxy welding wire. Just drill a hole in it and slide into place making sure it's cut at the right length before hand.
