zeds4ever Posted December 25, 2010 Posted December 25, 2010 :-\ Hey fellas seeing that we are supposedly on the same page as each other (helping/assisting) each other.Do you think that we may be able to establish a price range of the different items that we wish to sell to make life so much simpler so that we don't get into the" E bay" concept of things. Maybe this is a bit utopia'n! but it's just a thought. Regards :Alan. Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted December 26, 2010 Moderators Posted December 26, 2010 Might be a bit hard to do because of the different conditions of spare parts available. Unless you can be bothered to setup a condition A, B or C from very ordinary to restored / NOS.. Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted January 3, 2011 Moderators Posted January 3, 2011 Simple Salty, advertise here first to give the members a chance first, no takers for a week or two? then advertise on ebay. People will only pay what they think it's worth to them. If you get timewasters, tell them to bid for it on ebay like everyone else. Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted January 4, 2011 Moderators Posted January 4, 2011 If I want it gone = Next to nothing or give it away and write off the loss If I want the dollars = research it's worth and find the patience and try and tolerate the tyre kickers/scammers; they will always be around. And again write off the loss. Quote
FrankenZed Posted January 5, 2011 Posted January 5, 2011 Was hoping this thread would help asI'll be stripping a 280zx very soon and I have no idea about parts pricing either. I don't want to get lowballed (I come from the R31 forums...some of the offers you get are ridiculous and hilarious) Guess I'll just have take a punt. Anyone have a rough idea how much you would sell 280zx bonnet, guards and bumper for in relatively good nick (no dents/ not much rust)? Quote
zeds4ever Posted January 6, 2011 Author Posted January 6, 2011 Now you fella's might get an idea where i'm coming from. A lot of folks won't advertise stuff here bfor E'Bay b'cause they are not certain of prices, etc. At least if they had some idea of what some things were worth it would encourage them to sell here, instead of taking a punt elsewhere. "And then we all lose out". Regards :Alan . Quote
zeds4ever Posted January 6, 2011 Author Posted January 6, 2011 Aharrr!!, Salty me old mate. Brilliant & how hard was that, & with some of the brains trust that I have witnessed on "The Forum" i'm sure that they will come up with some great idea's if they take the trouble. It's all for everyone's benefit .We shall wait & see. Regards :Alan. Quote
FrankenZed Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 Cheers! Helps me out heaps. I'm used to forums where in the for sale section you have Location Item Price with condition Photo(s) Contact and going through the for sale section here it just says, for example i have *x* part for sale and *x* location. With nothing to go on. Quote
FuzzyDropbear Posted January 6, 2011 Posted January 6, 2011 If you get stuck on the price of an item, you could always refer to another thread in the for sale section to get an idea of pricing. Quote
zeds4ever Posted January 7, 2011 Author Posted January 7, 2011 Fuzzy, thats fine but wouldn't it be so much simpler to have a "Standard" pricing list that everyone can refer to. If you look at some of the prices that are listed, one wonders !!!. Regards: Alan. Quote
