chris240 Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 last month I finally got around to rebuild the dcoe's I bought ealier this year.. I settled on : 50 f9 idles, 125 jets, F11 Emulsions, 180 correctors & 32mm chokes. I came up with this recipe after a bit of reading. Following a recommendation from another zedder , I took the zed into a well known local tuning shop called dyno tune services, where Canberras webber carbie guru works called Grant. (I normally use performance plus but Bruce doesnt have a dyno).. I had Grant install , dyno & fine-tune the webbers as well as fabricate a new accelerator cable setup to make the old likage setup redundant. The only change he made to my jetting was to change the idle jet size, otherwise everthing was spot on. His workmanship, knowledege & eye for detail is exceptional. The tripples are sooooo smooth and the sound is amazing. Im also rapt with the new cable setup, its just so neat. I now need to get my heatsheild back in somehow, and Lurch who saw it yesterday suggested I should get a cold air box made up by Rob-son and then I may up my jets to 130's.. couple of pics with the new setup.. twosixty Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Looks good, like the kanto manifold too. How do you like the triples compared to the SU's (assuming you had round tops prior yeah?) Quote
sexual_sushi Posted November 14, 2010 Posted November 14, 2010 Loving the blue on blue + gold, looks great! Quote

How do you like the triples compared to the SU's (assuming you had round tops prior yeah?) actually I bought my SU's new about 3 years ago and theyd done less than 1000kms...they are now sitting on my workbench doing bugger all. what I love about the tripples is not having a choke anymore, The latter series HU6's SUs are still a brilliant carby, nevertheless, I just "wanted" tripples.. as for the blue & gold...Im a parramatta supporter Quote
