kobes Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Looking For outer door trim rubber squeegees attaches to your existing stainless trim ( passanger side) off a 260z . Not sure what it's official name is, all i know is the are aero-dynamically awesome when travelling at 110kms and when it comes flying off as you go over a bridge. I can confirm 1. they do not float. 2. They get awesome distance in the air ( and luckily away from the bodywork of car) 3. Swear words directed at the general direction they last seen flying seems to have little effectivness in finding it! So if you have a spare in good or better condition, it would be appreciated. Kobes. Quote
benny Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 think you can get it from scotts old auto rubber or maybe motorsport auto in usa Quote
kobes Posted November 12, 2010 Author Posted November 12, 2010 without shelling out somewhere close the$130 for a pair of these weatherstips from the usa, I seem to be having a problem locating them. It is for my passanger side and is the OUTER DOOR MOULDINGS SQUEEGEES that goes on the chrome strip and rests against the window on the outside. Any further help, ( or if anybody has a spare shell that may still have one attached, assitance greatly appreciated ) Quote

maddos Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 I used generic trim from clarke rubber and instead of the staples, pop rivetted just had to trim down the rivot lengths so as not to foul on door when installed. Works perfectly. Quote

NZeder Posted November 13, 2010 Posted November 13, 2010 if it is a 2 seater you can get new replacement including the stainless trim from a few guys in the US and with the OZ $$ v US $$ now would be a good time to purchase. ebay.com should show up a few sets - I got mine from one of the guys from ebay a while back as Nissan did not have any locally or in Japan (so I was told) Quote
kobes Posted November 27, 2010 Author Posted November 27, 2010 ok, thinking about going to clarks rubber and attempting to manufucture my own part. ( as refuse to pay the hihly inflated silly price i see for the part ) However do not have another 260z near me, could somebody take some close up photo's of the passanger door part identifing what it should look like and how it attaches. thanks. Have scrolled throu the forum pics a bit, but not suprisingly there is not many photo's of where the window meets the door thanks kobes Quote
