Scoota G Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 I'm just fitting the ARP Head Bolt Kit that i bought a couple of weeks ago and wonder if any one want to throw their 3 1/2 cents in? Quote
madz Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 and wonder if any one want to throw their 3 1/2 cents in? Inflation? All I can suggest is Torque wrench with correctly fitting socket - Torque to manufacturers specs (whatever that may be.....?), do bolts up in criss-cross fashion, and ensure a beer is in hand.... Oh, I found this - http://www.arp-bolts.com/FAQ/FAQ.html You prob knew all that though.... EDIE: Just found this - http://www.muller.net/sonny/crx/headstuds/index.html Quote
C.A.R. Posted September 10, 2010 Posted September 10, 2010 I screwed mine down into the block till they stopped, then 'nipped' them down with an Allen-Key (not too tight though!) Then I torqued the head down as per ARP's instructions. Just make sure you used a slim 12mm Multi-hex Tube socket & that it goes RIGHT down over the nut & the protruding stud, otherwise you risk stripping the nut AND the socket... Quote
Scoota G Posted September 10, 2010 Author Posted September 10, 2010 Did you get instructions with your kit Lurch, mine didn't come with any! Quote
