centre cap for 260Z alloys the same as those for 280ZX

Hi Guys,

 

If possible, could someone kindly confirm (with pic would be great) the centre cap that belongs on the 260Z alloys pictured in the following link

I have been looking at caps and am now well confused as to what cap goes where (280ZX cap I have been told fits the 260Z alloys??). Centres on 260Z alloys measure at 2.64 inches (to outside).

The 260s & at least the early 280ZXs used the same cap, being a white 'Z' on a metallic blue background recessed into a rounded/square chrome plastic cap.

But another style came out later with a black Z on chrome, shallower in style & had metal insertion fingers instead of the fragile plastic.

I have examples of both styles.

From what I am gathering there is a long and short cap (shallow). From the sound of it the metal shallower caps seem the way to go.

 

I am trying to track down a pic or two so that I have a better idea of what I am looking for. Let me know if you can help.
