  1. Hi Guys I have two unused (still in box) K&N filters. Had them sent over from US however they have backing plate for Hitachi's so I can't use them (have British SU). They are the larger pod (K&N model 56-1430) $ 170 for the two (plus postage if you can't pick up) - I was quoted over $300 for the two from Super cheap and the like. Got a Hitachi set up? Grab yourself a bargain and some serious filters! Peter
  2. cheers Gareth Thanks for the info Peter
  3. Hi Guys I have a 260Z 2+2 (1974) with SU carbies. Engine is stock. I have a couple of K&N filters I am about to install and want to get the most out of the carbies by selecting a needle size on the rich side. Any suggestions? cheers Peter
  4. Cheers Gilltech From what I am gathering there is a long and short cap (shallow). From the sound of it the metal shallower caps seem the way to go. I am trying to track down a pic or two so that I have a better idea of what I am looking for. Let me know if you can help.
  5. Hi Guys, If possible, could someone kindly confirm (with pic would be great) the centre cap that belongs on the 260Z alloys pictured in the following link http://t3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:tkqDTzN1oNunqM:http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e219/rogerlomman/DSC06606.jpg&t=1 I have been looking at caps and am now well confused as to what cap goes where (280ZX cap I have been told fits the 260Z alloys??). Centres on 260Z alloys measure at 2.64 inches (to outside). many thanks
  6. Thanks Dat2kman Any help would be much appreciated! Peter

  15. Lurch, Maygz, Zedman and Spamaster cheers your warm welcomes and cheeky replies hit the spot Whittie - my attempts to lift your car were thwarted due to unforeseen difficulties. I decided to instead purchase a car from a lovely young lady called Lisa. PZG - I was beginning to worry that my illness had progressed faster than I thought when I considered the two cars side by side. It comforts me to know I will not be in a white walled facility alone. Drifta I have had a go at uploading a pic to my album and attaching it to this message...with a bit of luck you should be able to take a look cheers all

  18. G’day forum My name is Peter. I started having an affair with a 260Z about two weeks ago. Was love at first sight really, (if anyone knows the 265 charger I have in the shed- mums the word) Things have gone well since and she is on a truck on her way over from Perth. With a bit of luck I will pick her up from the depot with a box of roses. Anyhow, looking forward to a few laughs and getting to know some of the forum members. The lovely family I purchased the car from said Datsun lovers tend to be an eccentric bunch (home at last) Shake and bake Peter Melbourne
