I say go for it....for $500 its not a massive outlay.

With so many jet & tuning & parts options available you cant go wrong..Ive always wanted to see this setup on an L-series...

I like it because its not run of the mill...its just different.

I'd also love to see a tripple setup , that would be awesome.

My car came with that Weber down-draft set-up, it was quickly replaced. It was just old, and needed rebuilding, I prefer EFI anyway, and that's the direction I went.

Here's a video I took minutes before pulling them off the car:

Hmmmm, yes and no. I like them because they are unique and they are a very reliable carby. Any manifold/adaptor with a bend like that in them will impede flow. I'm a big fan of sidedraughts be it the Su type or my Fav, Triples. The first set of Dellortos i built cost over a grand but the second set cost a lot less because i knew prices and what to pay, how to search.

Trouble is if your on a budget finding a second hand manifold for triples can be a pain with one second hand manifold showing up on ebay every 12 months on average and you'll only save $100 off new price. If you can get a whole set ready to bolt on they'll cost about a grand any day of the week and thats for Dellortos, webers will be more.

In the end its really up to you, i think that those twin down draught webers would look great with a custom air cleaner.
