OK so i would like to upgrade my rear sway bar.

i have looked at all the sway bar upgrade links and they don't answer the question i have.

the question i have is if i upgrade my 260z 2+2 diff to a r200 will it effect my sway bar ?

my car has a straight rear sway bar and there is a rear sway bars out their for the 260s that has a dip in it was just wondering what they are for.

thanks

Firstly I am not sure about the 2+2 but for the 2 seater a lot of people (me included) don't run a rear sway bar at all.

Secondly if you have a 2+2 it should already have the R200.

Thirdly, no it won't make a difference to the sway bar in size and space terms but the extra weight may make a difference to the handling.

Hey Kyle. a standard Zed sway bar config will fit even if you have an R200 diff. But I am not really sure why you would want to upgrade your rear sway bar? Most people don't worry about the rear as it is almost proven that it makes little or no difference to the cars handling. In fact a lot of people disconnect their sway bars at the track and improve their times. My sway bar is standard and I run a V8 making my car slightly heavier. I don't see any need to upgrade mine.

In short I would definately do the front if not done and or use your money else where to get the car going better.

i did a little more research and found out that the sway bar would only be 1mm bigger then what i already have .

That stock bar is big enough - and as posted most 2 seater that I know of that see track work (so of them alot) don't run rear bars at all and one of my 240z track cars had a rear bar on when I got it but it did not for very long ;)
