Hi Guys,

does anyone know where i can get a set of lock nuts for the rear stub axle's on a late model 260Z (the 27 spline one).

Can they still be bought over the counter? or should i just get them from the US (seems a waste for such a small item)

that is excellent, do you happen to have a part number i can take in to them?

they tend to look at me funny when i ask for parts for a 37 year old car :)

thanks

Sorry don't have a part number, I got mine about a month ago through brighton Nissan in Melbourne (Trevor is the guy you want). I just asked for rear stub axle nuts, the ones that hold the companion flange on.

Thanks Mate,

still no joy from my local nissan (i am in Sydney), does anyone know if they share the part with a newer car that would be on their parts system (maybe R31 skyline? 200sx or something?)

hmm must have taken them out of the bags they came in with the part number :( but have not fear.

Part catalogue searching resulted in the following part numbers.

240z/260z rear axles nuts = 43262-21000

280zx rear axles nuts (different number early and later) = 43262-21000 (early note same as 240z/260z)

and 43262-W1200 these are the ones I have spare and on the car currently with the same axles you have.

So Nissan should be able to get you 43262-W1200 as I have had 2 sets from them.

The early number 43262-21000 is the peen type and the 43262-W1200 is the locking without peen type.

FYI 43262-W1200 is also used on the IRS setup on a R30 Skyline

Thanks Mate,

You will also be please to know that the C210 item is 43262-21000 so again the R30/280zx would also work with the stock C210 items also. Infact the all share the same nut specs it is just the axles/spline that are different :)

Cheers
