wildwildwhoosh Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 Hi All, My 260z driver door won't open. The plunger/lock only goes halfway upwards and I can't pull it all the way up no matter how hard I try. Key doesn't work either. Any ideas how I can open it? I'd also appreciate information on what's wrong with it. Thanks! Whoosh Quote
Moderators Zedman240® Posted April 15, 2010 Moderators Posted April 15, 2010 I think the only way to get some access to the inside of the door while it's still closed is if you remove the chrome strip/rubber seal for the window. When you remove that, with a large screwdriver, you may be able to manipulate some of the linkage to work and maybe open the door. Quote
Scoota G Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 Wind the window down all the way and remove the chrome strip on the outside. Then grab a torch and have a look down where the door lock is... I had my button mechanisim pop out and it jammed the whole lot. You may be able to free it with a long thin rod of the old, trusty coathanger. Quote
