Well i thought i better post in here before i get too carried away in other threads. I'm the one that bought kenny's 240Z that was advertised on the forum. Its registered as a '73 but i think its a '72 looking at the serial number (i'll post the serial number later when i have it in front of me).

It will be a driving restoration for the time being, it will need some bodywork but i will be doing this after im happy with how it is driving, bodywork is no problem for me.

So far i have sorted out the twin SU's, they were poorly adjusted but i think they are alright now so might not have to rebuild just yet.

It has electronic ignition fitted so that was a bonus.

I have sorted out a few electrical issues, got the dash lights and gauges working properly, installed a second mechanical water temp gauge as i wasnt convinced the original was accurate, it turns out there are no cooling issues so this was good.

Other than that ive sorted out a couple vaccum leaks, adjusted the valve clearances and sorted out a the tail lights.

Its been fun (not) locating all the missing blots and nuts the car came with, for instance the seats were held in with one nut each and the exhaust manifold had about half the nuts fitted  ???

The next on the list is the suspension and brakes, as they are both tired.

I have 4 complete struts with brakes in transit from WA that was advertised by a member here for a good price, complete with koni red inserts, king springs, rose jointed lower arms, whiteline swaybars, landcruiser callipers front and commodore callipers rear on vented discs. How could i pass up a deal like that!

Also, the car came fitted with this oldschool blow thru supercharger set up. The blower is still attached.... undecided if i should hook it up or not. Check the general forum for pics  8)

Sounds like you're getting straight into it mate. Good to see.

I'd love to see some pics of this blower.
