L24 stock extractors fit L28

can someone clear this up for me? will the stock L24 extractors fit on the L28?? or do i have to get proper extractors?

If you are talking about the cast iron exhaust manifold then yes.

 

Checking the parts catalogues I have the L24 and L26 have the same part numbers (only 2 listed for the L24 ie upto July 73) the L26 has 4 listed and the last 2 part numbers match that of the S130 (280zx) L28 manifold part numbers.

 

So by the manner of part number succession I say yes

14004-E3000 -> replace with 14004-Y5200 (L24 and L26)

14004-Y5200 -> replace with 14004-P6800 (L26) (the other partnumber listed for the L26 is an Australian market item only so I assume some emissions requirement made the manifold slightly different)

 

From the S130 catalogue

14004-P6800 used up to Jun 79 the replaced with either 14004-U8715 or 14004-U8716 depends on the market model = emission requirements = different header but both replace the earlier 14004-P6800

 

So basically yes they will interchange perfectly fine now go and do it
